Rejection hurts.
But the real pain is not the rejection itself.
It is the belief that if they said no, then maybe we are further away from the life we want.
Someone does not choose us.
Someone does not reply.
Someone does not see the value we thought was so clear.
And then, very quickly, we create a story.
“I’m not good enough.”
“I’m behind.”
“I’m not wanted.”
“This means I’m on the wrong path.”
But wait.
They said no.
That is the fact.
Everything after that might be a story.
I’m learning that fulfillment is not built by avoiding rejection.
It is built by staying in relationship with what matters, even when rejection happens.
Because if I only move when I am approved of,
I am not really following my desire.
I am following permission.
The people I admire most are not the ones who never get rejected.
They are the ones who can hear no and still stay close to themselves.
They breathe.
They feel it.
They learn what is useful.
They leave what is not theirs.
And they take another (conscious) step.
Maybe fulfillment is not about being chosen by everyone.
Maybe it is about choosing yourself clearly enough
that rejection no longer decides your direction.
