A reflection on how changing your beliefs about what's possible can transform your reality, from travel dreams to financial goals.
I've been traveling for many months now - every month we're in a different city. We started in Greece, then moved to Georgia, now we're in Bulgaria. I've already bought flight tickets to Italy for two weeks from now. Every month, different country. Every month, different city.
When I tell people about this lifestyle, they all say the same thing: "Oh, I wish I could do this as well." And I'm like, of course you can do this. Why would you say you cannot?
But then comes the familiar response: "Oh, of course I can't. I've got a job. I've got a life. I've got commitments. It's not really possible for me, this lifestyle."
And if this is what you think, well, of course it's not possible for you. If this is what you believe - that this is not possible for you - you are absolutely right.
The Power of Changing Your Belief
But if you change that belief, if you change that self-talk, and instead say to yourself: "It is possible for me. I can do this. If other people do this, that means I can do this as well. If it's possible for other people, it means it's possible" - then everything changes.
Once you change this belief, you'll see that it is possible for you. And it doesn't have to be about travel - this principle applies to everything.
I find it fascinating when our desires don't meet our beliefs. How can you say you want something and not go for it? If you want something, you've got to go for it. In my mind, this is the only possible way.
I changed my belief about working while traveling five years ago. During COVID, I did it for 18 months - I didn't have one location, I was always traveling, I was a digital nomad. Because I created this possibility in my life. And actually, it was very easy once I changed that belief.
Your Inner Talk Reveals Your Beliefs
Let me give you another example about money. When you encounter a millionaire, or when you see someone with a Ferrari driving down the street, what do you tell yourself?
Do you say: "Oh, that guy is just showing off" or "What a waste - this car is with the wrong guy" or "He could have used that money for better things"?
If you want a Ferrari to actualize in your life, I suggest you say instead: "Oh, it's so amazing! I'm so happy for him." I suggest you bless him.
When you meet that millionaire, what's your inner talk? Some people say, "He's so stupid - how does such a stupid guy have so much money?" This inner talk is attached to a belief that only stupid people can be millionaires, so if I'm intelligent, I won't be a millionaire.
Others say, "Good for him, but there's no chance it's going to happen to me." And you know what? They're right. It is impossible for them.
Abundance is Real
But here's the truth: There is no shortage of US dollars in this world. They get printed more every day. There's no shortage of Euros, or any currency. You can be a millionaire. Of course you can. And you know that, and you desire that, and it's good that you desire that.
You want it because you feel like you're going to improve the quality of your life, provide for yourself and the people you care about. And I'll tell you this - you can be a billionaire as well. Of course you can.
If some people are, that means it's possible. And it's not just possible for them - it's also possible for you.
Success Leaves Clues
Once you change that belief, you start looking at things differently. You look at what successful people do, because success leaves clues - clues that you can apply in your life. What's their mindset? How are they talking?
And it doesn't have to be exclusive to money. It can be associated with everything. If you want a certain type of relationship, it's possible for you. I actually wrote down on paper the qualities I wanted in a partner before I met my girlfriend. Then it actualized in my life.
Recently, we wrote down together the house we want to have, the way we want to wake up in the morning. All of this started with imagination and 100% belief that it's possible.
The key is simple: if you don't believe something is possible for you, it never will be. But change that belief, and watch your reality transform."
