more than we think they do

Have you ever had a chance to look at a child and maybe even ask them, what do they think about life? What do they think about life? How do they see life?

Yesterday I almost asked it to my nephew. I was looking at her and I wanted to ask her, like, what do you think about life? How do you see life? And I can only imagine what she would have done if I did ask her. She probably would have pushed me or looked at me weirdly.

Because for kids, there is no such thing as thinking about life.

This is why it's so beautiful, the way they are living, because they are not concerned about life itself. They're just having their way with engaging with life. They don't think about life, they're just being life.

And this is why it's so nice to look at a child.

And then I realized that my very own question "what do you think about life?" it's one that is neglecting the "being" part of life. Trying to rationalize everything all the time.

Just me. Just being. Just life.
