Guys I think this is an important one to read / listen to.

It’s 2026, and it’s hard not to notice that we are living through one of the most disruptive technological shifts of our lifetimes (I know.. It’s obvious). We’ve evolved through a transition where most of us now use AI to ask questions, get answers, or use it as a research companion. But for a long time, it was all about the input and the output. We wrote to the AI and expected a response. It was a passive lifestyle; the AI sat there waiting for our command.

Then, people started talking about agents. We began building workflows in tools like N8N to automate our lives. I’ve built a bunch of them myself. Automation was a great start, but we have finally reached a point where the models are capable enough to create true computer-based interactions between people and machines.

The internet has been blowing up over the past few weeks because we’ve discovered that models like Opus 4.5 and the new Claude Code are more capable than anything we’ve seen before. It is a real exponential leap. But today, I want to talk about what this means for us.

From Employee to Teammate

The idea I have in my mind right now (and this is relevant for this month, because the tech might be even better by next month) is that we are no longer just "using" AI. The AI isn't just working for us, and it isn't just waiting for a prompt.

We can now work with the AI as a companion and a teammate, rather than an employee or a piece of software. It’s not just a tool anymore; it’s a collaborator.

If you haven’t already, I suggest you look into the "Canvas" features that many models now have. For example, as a professional speaker, speaker’s notes are vital to me. I love talking, so I take a rough transcript of my thoughts and give it to the AI as a sketch. In the past, I had to hope the AI got the output perfect because the responses were "locked" in a chat box. If I wanted to edit, I had to copy-paste it elsewhere.

Now, with Canvas, the AI creates a living document that we both work on. It’s blazing fast. I can use a heavy, "deep" model to create the first sketch, and then a lighter model to make edits. I can highlight text, tell it what to fix, delete sections, or type myself. We are both in the document together. It allows me to create 100% quality output at a speed that used to be impossible.

Claude Code: The New Operating System

The second big shift is even more significant. For the early adopters, the future is already here.

Claude Code is essentially becoming a new operating system, a sixth layer of communicating with the computer. Because it has access to your files and folders, it can create basically anything you’ve ever dreamed of. You can enhance your journaling, create custom workflows, or manage your business data.

We are reaching a point where we don’t need more "off-the-shelf" applications. Once you have this kind of power in your PC, you can create software that is 100% tailor-made for you. It might be rough around the edges, and it might not be ready to scale to 1,000 users, but if it works for you, that’s all that matters.

You can use this for everything: social media, research, managing supply and demand, or pulling invoices out of your email. I recently upgraded to the max plan for $100, something I never thought I’d do, and it has been completely worth it. I spent all night building things that are meaningful to my business and my contribution to this planet. If software is cheap and generic, I’ll buy it. But if I need something handmade and bespoke, I’m just going to build it.

The Challenge of Desire

AI has made us significantly more productive, but this leads us to a final problem I think humanity is going to face very soon.

When it becomes this easy to finish projects that used to take months, we reach a point where our "desires" are fulfilled almost instantly. The challenge now isn't "how" to build, but "what" to build.

This brings me back to my work as a Co-Active coach. Coaching is becoming one of the most important professions today because when you can make anything you want, all that’s left is figuring out what you actually want. You have to stay connected to yourself to understand what you want to build and what you want your life to look like.

We are living in an extraordinary time: a digital Renaissance. Very soon, the way early adopters are using these tools will be public and universal. Your laptop is turning into a digital AGI that is automatic and genius.

The workforce is ready. All that's left is you. What is your life contribution going to be now that you have this workforce by your side?

I hope you enjoyed this one.
I will probably post a YouTube video about this soon. Stay up to date here.
