The real threat isn't AI taking your job. Participate in the technological revolution happening right now.
"The AI is gonna fire me."
This is what I hear everywhere: all over LinkedIn, all over social media, in conversations wherever I go. People are panicking about AI taking their jobs, talking about it like it's some inevitable doom.
And you know what? Yeah, AI is going to take your job. But let me be clear: it's not the AI that's going to take your job. You're going to get fired if you don't learn how to use it.
The Computer Parallel
Imagine someone in 1999 saying, "Oh, those computers are going to take all of our jobs. What are we going to do after that?"
Yeah, all right. If you're not going to learn how to use a computer, you're not going to have a job. Of course. Why would anyone hire an accountant who doesn't know how to operate a computer? Who's going to do everything manually when you have a computing machine that can do it with a spreadsheet? Come on.
The same goes here. If you're not going to learn AI, yeah, you're going to get fired.
The Business Owner's Perspective
As a business owner, as an entrepreneur, as someone who creates the money to pay employees—I don't need employees who don't know how to operate with AI. Seriously. It's just not benefiting us in any way. It takes us back.
But if you do know how to operate with AI? If you're living on the edge of technology right now? Yeah, I do want to hire you. I do want you to work for me. I do want you to be a part of my company.
And if you don't know this yet? Take your time. Learn it.
This Isn't About Job Loss
This isn't some sort of doom and gloom manifestation. This is about the unwillingness to learn, to adapt to change. It's about the unwillingness to live in a place of uncertainty, of new things coming up, of new opportunities, of a new world building right in front of our eyes.
It's the unwillingness to take part in the change. It's the desire to keep things as they were. "Oh, this entire change, it's gonna hurt us."
Okay, yeah. It's gonna hurt you if you're not gonna adapt. But why won't you adapt? Why won't you learn new things? Why won't you do something that's difficult for you to understand? Why not create new stuff? Why not adapt to this beautiful change we're living in?
Acknowledging the Fear
I completely agree, this change might be scary. This change might have consequences. This change might create a world where we might all die because of it. Yeah, maybe.
But if you're not going to take part in this change, if you're not going to incorporate yourself in building the new world right in front of our eyes—what are you going to say?
I am taking part. I am taking part of this change. I am at the front edge of technology right now in terms of adaptations for my business, for my day-to-day, for the things I do, for my creations. Everything about my business now is either automated or enhanced or even created by AI.
And I highly, highly, highly encourage you to do the same.
The Opportunity in Change
Yeah, it's scary. Yeah, it's different. Yeah, it's new.
That's the whole point.
This technology is changing every single thing you knew about digital computing altogether, all at once. And if you're not going to be here to witness it, if you're not going to take part in witnessing it—the gap is only going to get bigger and bigger.
I don't want you to feel stressed, but I do want you to get curious.
I don't want you to feel overwhelmed. I do want you to participate.
I don't want you to feel afraid. I want you to feel empowered.
I don't want you to change your values. But I want you to create more value for others.
